Certified PADI Course

Rescue Diver

Rewarding and Fun-that best describes the Rescue Diver course. The PADI Rescue Diver programme will expand your knowledge and experience beyond the recreational level. You’ll learn to look beyond yourself and consider the safety and well-being of other divers. Although this course is serious, it is an enjoyable way to build your confidence.

What will I do?

Rescue Diver training will prepare you to prevent problems and, if necessary, manage dive emergencies. Some of the topics you’ll cover are diver stress, self rescue techniques, panic diver response, underwater problem management and first aid. What do I need to start?  You must be a certified Open Water diver to start the first portion of the Rescue course (knowledge development) and a PADI Advanced diver to complete the remaining skills and scenarios. Before   commencement of the rescue course students must have completed a sanctioned first aid/cpr training. The cpr/first aid course can be conducted with Kirra Dive.

How long will the course take?

Recommended course hours is approx 25hrs and minimum open water training is 5 sessions over 2 days
