May 2008
You are being invited to next years ultimate dive adventure, explore pristine diving on the Great Barrier Reef with Australia’s best loved exploration and research live-a -board “ the Undersea Explorer”. The adventure of an underwater lifetime, 6 days of pure dive indulgence in tropical heaven. Over 6 days you will be exploring the ribbon reefs, Osprey reef and the famous cod hole on the Great Barrier Reef whilst learning invaluable marine ecology from the on -board marine biologist.
Our six day expedition will consist of an Osprey Reef shark encounter where we dive with schooling sharks and watch as the Undersea team catch and tag sharks on the divers deck. We will also encounter deep sea nautilus and our expedition coincides with the dwarf Minke whale season so there is a good chance that we m ay encounter these majestic mammals on our journey. We also visit Lizard Island where you can either dive, dive, dive, or laze about like a lizard in the sun. (No pun intended). Scuba diving magazine “ Australasia Scuba Diver” has named 3 of the Undersea sites as the top dives sites in Australia .
Your dive expedition includes:
- 22 dives
- Chef prepared meals
- Live-a-board air -conditioned accommodation
- What to bring:
- Deck towel
- Dive light and extra batteries
- Dive gear
- BYO alcoholic beverages
- A sense of fun and adventure
